Echo Medical Services can offer a number of courses from Spring 2017 in a number of security courses to help you obtain your SIA licence or as additional skills. The Courses are acceptable by SIA and are awarded from a national awarding body that are  approved by Ofqual. The courses that we can offer are listed below.

 

Level 2 Award in Handcuffing          Available Spring 2017

The level 2 Handcuff training course is not a legal requirement in gaining your SIA licence but can give you additional skills and further you qualification within the security industry. To attend this course the delegate would be required to hold the Level 2 Physical Intervention and the Level 2 Conflict Management.

The course includes: The law regarding the use of reasonable force, Legal aspects in using handcuff and the techniques needed. Medical problems that can arise from the use of handcuffs, The decision on using handcuffs and the application of them and The techniques in holding, escorting, moving and guiding skills

 

Bomb and Terrorist Threat Awareness

With the ever increasing threat in the UK of attack, Echo Medical Services can provide this course to a range of delegates including medical staff, office workers,management personnel, postal workers and education establishments to prepare them in the event of a incident. The course had been designed by military and emergency services personnel to aid the delegate to know what to look for in a suspect packages and telephone threats. It will also give the delegate a range of view point on what to expect when the emergency services arrive and how the delegates can assist them.

The course includes: Dealing with telephone threats, Knowing what to do on finding a suspect package or a suspect person, The evacuation and invacuation procedures, body language and voice tones, Working with the emergency services, Risk assessments, CMRP (Company Emergency Response Planning), personnel buildings and vehicle searches, Command and control chain and Prioritising treating and removing casualties from the area.
